They use a highly efficient DC compressor, similar to a standard home fridge but designed to run directly off your battery bank. These units are incredibly efficient. For most 6–10 cu. ft. models, we recommend a battery bank of at least 200Ah (Lead Acid) or 100Ah (Lithium) to survive cloudy days. You will typically need about 200W–400W of solar panels to keep the system charged.
